Get rich quick systems are abundant on the internet and come in many different guises. One such system is a new roulette system that promises untold riches for anyone who wishes to buy it. Anyone purchasing this system would be a two way loser. Despite its promises to allow you to beat the casino, it has a serious danger of doing just the opposite.
There have been many documented cases of people who attempted to beat the odds at Roulette actually breaking their own bank and ending up penniless. We all like to dream of riches even beyond those of which we dream. To come up with a system of making our fortunes by beating the spin of the roulette wheel has been the dream of many gamblers for a great many years. In the end none of them made it, at least not in the long term though it must be said there were times when it looked as though they might.
The most famous one of these was Charles Wells, the subject of the old music hall song ‘The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo.' A common crook and fraudster, in 1891 Wells converted £4,000 to £100,000 in just eleven hours playing Roulette. Had he retired then, he would have been a very rich man, however he returned to the Casino a year later with a bankroll provided by investors, and he lost everything. Eventually he was jailed. The system he was using is very similar to the one that is currently being peddled via spam emails, and is known as the Martindale system.
This is a system that doubles up the bet after every loss. In fact this specific system calls for more than just doubling of the bet, but multiplying it by a factor of 2.5. Of course, eventually there will be a win, but the loss potential before a win is encountered is huge.
The system also claims to be able to discover when specific numbers are hot, that is when they have a high chance of occurring. Despite the fact that the authors attempt to justify this preposterous idea by several pages of pseudo-mathematical script, it is just that, preposterous. Each spin in an independent event that has no relation to previous or future spins. Just ignore the scam.
