With just so many Christmas party venues how can you choose which is the right one for you Bearing in mind that with corporate bashes you are dealing with people of differnt ages and backgrounds. Read below and hear the inside track courtesy of Christmas Confidential.
Our advice is in general stick to venues which actually do what they are promising entertainment wise over Xmas week in week out and avoid over hyped and often over priced on off spectaculars - they are likely to disappoint.
. Whilst £65 per head may sound expensive by hotel standards and also given the quality of their food offering we give it the thumbs up You can be sure there will be none of the dreaded rubber chicken here. Abba here we come.
A three course traditional Xmas turkey dinner or lunch for £25 (food only) with six burlesque cabaret shows, a host and a photographer all thrown in. A cheesey disco afterwards till the small hours of the morning completes an excellent package. Available for exclusive or shared Christmas parties lunch or dinner from December 1st onwards. As a multiple award winning venue the entertainment should be top notch too.
The James Bond remains a seasonal favourite The Bloomsbury Hotel's James Bond offering looks especially attractive. Food look exceptionally good and at £75 +VAT with courtesy glass of champagne is good value by West End Hotel standards anyway. All rounded off by dancing till 1am after.
{Medieval banquets seem to be having a bit off a comeback these days something to do with Lord of The Rings no doubt.|The Lord of The Rings has made medieval banquets all the rage this year{} Avoid all the hotels trying this one and head straight to The Medieval banquet at Ivory House in Smithfield|We recommend avoiding all the hotels trying this one and go for Ivory House in Smithfields Medieval banquet|}. They do this week in week out and it is first rate and at £55 per head that includes unlimited beer and wine during dinner. Our only criticism is that midnight is a bit early to shut up shop.
Finally river cruises also remain stubbornly popular although quite why given that its night time and rather chilly at Christmas remains to be seen. The Symphony River Cruise is the best of the cruise and dine options. The all glass walls allow everyone an excellent view without having to go up on deck and the 4 course meal at £75 per head includes a ½ bottle of wine. However remember to be on time as the boat will leave without you plus if want a late one you will need to arrange entry to a club later Shame.
