Who Knows How Much Keyword Density A Website Can Have
Can the right amount of keyword density put you on page one? Well, alone it may not but this can improve your chances. Keyword density can increase your luck but only if it is done properly. Too much can make you look overzealous but too little will not stear clearly the search engines and it may select a different word to place well on results. Can anybody tell you what the rules are? That is what we all would like to know.
Trying to fiqure what keyword density you need takes a bit of luck. It has ben said that 5% of your content should be your keyword density while some suggest 10% all the way up to 20%. I have also heard the notion of using your keywords once for every hundred words you use. I could write the whole day and relay you what some people think but the only ones that really know are the makers of the search results. You can always try asking them if you like but I seriously doubt that they would tell you. How search engines algorithms works is the biggest secret out their. It has to be or site owners would build their websites the exact same way just messing up the results for all.
I have seen website owners use shady tactics like putting there keywords in beneath the body of the page trick the search engines. I do not recommend this because it only works for a short time and then you get penalized. Some have use their alternative title tags in the image box for the purposes of jamming keywords in. This may add to your keyword density but it will hurt you in the long run.
It looks like search engines read keyword density in 2 separate forms. How much the words are together and how much the words can be found in single. To few this for yourself the next time you type in a keyword phrase look at a website in the “cached” section. You will see every word for the search phrase highlighted where ever it can be found in text. It looks like if the keyword phrase is together then you get a small boost in result. Especially when you have it grouped in your mega title and mega description. But it will not tell you whether or not your keyword density is too high or too low.
But If I were you, I would not spend so much about keyword density. More power is carried by one way backlinks that are linked from your keywords to your website. Just make sure you use your keyword phrase on your website from time to time and boost your links. Keyword density is a small thing and will not by itself put you first on search results unless the keyword phrase is not that heavily competed for. But what is the big deal of being on page one if no one is typing it in the search engines.
